New Delhi, Nov 2 (PTI) The National e-Governance Advisory Group (NAG) set up to accelerate the introduction of e- governance initiatives at the central and state level will meet on November 12.
New Delhi, Nov 2 (PTI) The National e-Governance Advisory Group (NAG) set up to accelerate the introduction of e- governance initiatives at the central and state level will meet on November 12.
The meeting will be chaired by Communication and Information Technology Minister Thiru A Raja. Apart from Raja, the other members of the committee are Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Chairman Nandan Nilekani, IT Secretary Shashi Kant Sharma and DoT Secretary R Chandrashekhar, an official statement said.
The group was constituted on March 29, 2005, with the objective of obtaining the views of external stakeholders on policy issues and strategic interventions necessary for accelerating the introduction of e-governance across central and state government ministries and departments and provide inputs to the Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure.
The National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) was approved by the Government of India in May, 2006, to "make all government services accessible to the common man in his locality, through common service delivery outlets and ensure efficiency, transparency and reliability of such services at affordable costs to realise the basic needs of the common man".
