LUCKNOW: As part of celebrations to mark the first anniversary of Aadhaar enrolments, the regional office (RO) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) felicitated five data entry operators for error-free enrolments, on Thursday.
Two UIDAI registrars, the State Bank of India (SBI) and the Central Bank of India (CBI), were also felicitated for giving an impetus to Aadhaar enrolments in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Assistant director general, UIDAI, RO, Lucknow, C S Mishra lauded the efforts made by the entire UIDAI system active in UP and Uttarakhand for over 5.5 million Aadhaar enrolments.

Aadhaar enrolments were launched in India on September 29, 2010, in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
