The Central Government has identified the payments under Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) as one of areas for implementing the ‘Direct Cash Transfer’ scheme.
In a press note issued here, the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I said that to implement this initiative, the Aadhaar details of all EPF subscribers must be updated in the database of EPFO.
The employers have been requested to collect the Aadhaar details of their employees, and their bank account details (account number and IFSC code).
A facility would soon be provided to enable the employers to upload the collected data to EPFO through ‘employer e-Sewa.’
The format of data preparation had been made available atwww.epfindia.com/ECR/
