3124 - HSS flays mobile operators for not accepting Aadhar Card

STAFF REPORTER

JAMMU: Hindustan Shiv Sena (HSS) criticised all mobile operators in J and K for not accepting the Aadhar Card for giving new mobile connections.  While addressing media persons, National President HSS, Dimpy Kohli and General Secretary G.I Singh said that Aadhar Cards are issued by Government of India as a proof of identity and these cards are acceptable throughout the country as per the guidelines of Government of India.

“All agencies including security forces are accepting this card as a mark of identification throughout the country. But mobile operators in our State are dishonoring these cards and not issuing new numbers on the basis of Aadhar Card. What is the reason behind that the mobile companies will know better. People who are applying for new connections on the basis of this card are getting harassment at the hands of mobile companies”, he asserted.

He further said that all nationalised banks and other agencies are honoring this card as a proof of identity but mobile operators in J and K are not accepting this card.
