If people have, you know, fingers are worn, age... there could be a, it may not go through or whatever. So, iris authentication expands the coverage. So with iris and fingerprint, everyone will be able to authenticate. Second, iris identification has you know, you can do it without... you can keep it somewhere and look at it and go on. For example, if it's at an airport or something, you can use iris identification. So, many many applications of iris, as well as increasing the coverage of people so that... eKYC has a very wide range of users... banks, insurance companies, mobile companies, PDS system... Wherever you need proof of identity and proof of address you can use eKYC, so we think eKYC will be a very popular product.

"On the UID Aadhaar front, we have already enrolled over 300 million people it's now at about 310 million and we analyzed that it should be at about 270 million. So that is chugging along and we do about a million a day. And we hope to do about 400 million by sometime in the middle of 2013 calendar and 600 million by sometime in 2014. So that's the enrolment side. But the exciting thing now is the applications have started. The first major application is direct benefit transfer, where money can be credited to a bank account using an Aadhar number. So this has been launched by the government in about 43 districts across a wide variety of schemes. So that will show us how we can use this technology to directly put money into anybody's bank account electronically and seamlessly. So I think all this will showing the value of the ID not just as an identity thing, but also as an app platform..."
