Subject: Expedite seeding of Aadhaar (UID)/ Enrollment (EID) numbers and regularly update UID numbers against EID.
Sir/Madam,
Kindly refer to the letter No. M-12014/2/2010-DCTIC (25214) dated ze" Feb, 13
and 5th Mar, 2013 regarding the seeding of Aadhaar numbers of the MGNREGA beneficiaries in the programme database (NREGASoft).
2. In this regard, State/UTs are requested to kindly expedite the seeding of Aadhaar numbers or EID (enrollment number) in the programme database, in order to implement e-FMS (DBT) in your state so that Aadhaar enabled payments may be started.
3. All States/UTs shall also enter the Aadhaar number (UID) against the EID entered earlier, in all those instances where the MGNREGA workers had only the EID at the time of collection. The provision has been made in the programme MIS to enter the UID/EID numbers issued by UIDAI. The steps involved for carrying out this entry/ updation has been explained in letter dated 5th March, 2013. The current status of Aadhaar seeding in the programme database and list of DBT districts is enclosed for necessary action.
4. Ministry has reviewed the Aadhaar numbers entered in MIS (NREGASoft) and it was found that there are some Aadhaar numbers which have been incorrectly seeded in MIS. Hence, in order to minimize the data entry errors following checks have been introduced in the programme software:-
