3413 - Kochi district administration to conduct 'Aadhaar Adalat' - CIOL

The district administration in Kochi will conduct an 'Adalat' on June 12 and 13

KOCHI, INDIA: At a time when Aadhaar cards have been made mandatory for availing various government services, the delay in receiving Aadhaar cards is concerning the citizens.

To deal with several complaints pertaining to the issuance of Aadhaar cards, the district administration in Kochi will conduct an ‘Adalat' on June 12 and 13. It is being organised by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the UID Authority of India (UIDAI).

On both the days, the ‘Adalat' will be open from 10 am till 4 pm. For those who have not yet received their Aadhaar cards, "For them, arrangements have been made to make it available online," a New Indian Express report quoted K M Ibrahim, assistant district coordinator, Akshaya, as saying.

In case, the UID machine has rejected any information during registration, then people can re-register their Aadhaar registration at the 'Adalat', assured Ibrahim. To provide the registration numbers at a faster pace, the district administration has tied up with the Kerala State IT Mission (KSITM). People have to bring their enrolment slip, photo and documents proving identity and address, mobile phone for registration.
