At a time when Aadhar card has become mandatory for pensions and LPG connections, there is more bad news for those who have not got it despite enrolling.
According to the authorities, those who have not received Aadhaar card even after two years have to re-enroll.
K M Ibrahim, Additional District Officer (ADC), Akshaya Centre, said as per the data received from the state office, there are many who are yet to receive the card.
“Aadhaar is not generated for many residents even two years after enrolment. Some of these EIDs status are shown as ‘Not Found’. Some others show ‘Processing’ for a long time. The only alternative is to re-enroll, especially those who enrolled before January 2012. Now ,Aadhaar has been made compulsory for many schemes. Re-enrolment is the only solution,” he said.
The official said there are five obvious cases which could put the public in a fix. If a person gets the information that ‘Enrolment number (EID) not found’ in the Unique Identification Authority of India (UID) portal and in the State Resident Data Hub (SRDH), he/ she definitely has to re-enrol. If the information shows ‘under processing’ in the UID portal and ‘not found in the SDRH, re-enrolment is the only option. If the EID is ‘not found’ in UIDAI and Aadhaar number ‘available’ in SDRH, re-enrolment has to be done.
“If the message is ‘EID not found’ in UIDAI portal and Aadhaar number ‘available’ in SRDH, then we can not download Aadhaar for that EID. What the public has to do at this point is to collect such EIDs from Akshaya District Project Office and send them to tech support. They will correct it in the server to download e-Aadhaar,” he said.
Though the information received says ‘Aadhaar generated’ but Aadhaar details not available at Akshaya project office, the EID has to be collected and send EID for tech support. If Aadhaar card generated is rejected as Aadhaar generated for another EID the rejected EID has to be send for tech support to get the EID in which aadhaar has been generated,” he said. All these are applicable for those who have enrolled e January 2012.
