Beneficiaries under various government schemes are yet to be enrolled for the unique identity number Aadhaar and it has to be completed on priority as the government is monitoring the progress on a daily basis, District Collector N. Yuvaraj has said.
Of the 3.2 lakh housing beneficiaries, only 2 lakh have been enrolled so far. Tehsildars of the respective mandals should take up the enrolment with the help of the field level staff of the Housing staff.
Of the 3.2 lakh pensioners, 2.87 lakh have been enrolled for Aadhaar and for the remaining should also be brought into it. If there were any immobilised pensioners, they should also be included.
Of the 7.5 lakh employment guarantee beneficiaries, 1.74 lakh still needed to be enrolled and mandal development officers should take up the responsibility as EGP officials were not able to take them up.
Be alert
At a conference with officials on Monday, Mr. Yuvaraj said in view of the heavy rain in the district Revenue officials should be alert. Any possibility of breaches should be closely monitored and officials should stay in their respective headquarters, he instructed them.
Officials participating in Grama Darshini programme should track the issue of mother and child health cards, regular medical examination and whether nutritional support was being provided from the anganwadi centres to them.
On the garbage problem in villages, he said formation of dump yards should be taken up under EGS.
The Collector asked the Paderu sub-collector to take up construction of toilets in 500 schools, lacking them, through various engineering departments.
