6063 - Call to Submit Aadhaar Details - New Indian Express

VIJAYAWADA: Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) deputy director general, MVS Rami Reddy asked the Aadhaar card holders to immediately submit their Aadhaar details at the concerned departments to avail various welfare schemes.

Speaking at the review meeting with concerned departments and representatives of LPG dealers at the camp office of the joint collector Saturday, he said that about 98 percent of the people have registered their names for Aadhaar card in the district and 95 percent of them have received their Aadhaar number.

“Aadhaar linkage for around 99.50 percent of ration cards has been completed and 4,463 white cards are yet to be registered. Of the 10.77 lakh LPG consumers, Aadhaar seeding has been completed for 9,20,844 while bank accounts were opened for 8,05,831 LPG consumers,” said MVS Rami Reddy.

He revealed that around 15 percent of LPG consumers were found to be having multiple gas connections in various companies. They were directed to surrender the additional gas connection. He said that interested persons can apply for extra connection at the same gas company. 


Reddy urged the people to register their Aadhaar number with the LPG dealers before Nov 30, to get benefit of cash transfer scheme.
