Move to Link Aadhaar Cards With RCs, DLs

VIJAYAWADA: The Transport Department is all set to launch its month-long drive to link the vehicle-owners’ registration certificates (RCs) and driving licences (DLs) with their Aadhaar cards Wednesday. 

According to a press release here, vehicle-owners will have to produce copies of the three documents at any of the six designated petrol bunks in the city or the Transport department office from 6 am to 10 pm on any working day and during the office hours respectively from Wednesday.

The release said that it had roped in some unemployed youth to collect the copies of the documents at the petrol bunks under the supervision of its staff at the six petrol bunks at Chennupati at Benz Circle, Sitarampuram, Ilapuram, Garapati and Swagruha Foods. Tokens would be issued to all the vehicle-owners who submit the documents.
