Camp for defence pensioners at Sainik Welfare Office
The Department of Sainik Welfare in association with National Informatics Centre will be organising a camp for the benefit of the defence pensioners at Sainik Welfare Office Complex, Pakkamudianpet, Lawspet from January 30 to February 5 to register them for digital life certificate.
Aim of initiative
The aim of the camp is to empower the pensioner by providing an additional option to submit life certificate using the information technology at his/her convenience including the option of submitting from individual’s home through bio-reader enabled PC/Mobile.
A release from the Kendriya Sainik Board also indicates that it is in the process of revising procedures for the disbursal of financial assistance to ex-servicemen and their dependents via Electronic Clearance into Aadhaar Linked Bank Accounts to ensure timely and accurate payments and this registration will automatically cater for it. To attend the registration camp the pensioners are required to visit the camp in person with their Pension Payment Order, Pension Passbook, Aadhaar Card and personal mobile.
To avoid long waiting time at the camp the pensioners are requested to make advance booking with the Sainik Welfare Office either in person or telephonically (Tele: 0413-2253107/2250575) during working hours.
