Government spending on Aadhaar project to rise 23% in FY16

NEW DELHI: Continuing its support to Aadhaar scheme, the government has announced providing a sum of Rs 2,000 crore for the project in 2015-16, over 23 per cent higher than the revised estimates of the current fiscal. 

According to the Budget document, the government has incurred an expenditure Rs 1,617.73 crore as per the revised estimates for the current fiscal. 

However, the budget estimates of expenditure on the project being implemented by the Unique Identification Authorit ..
