7671 - 3 More Days to File Grievances - New Indian Express

KOCHI: Only three more days are left for the public to file their grievances to the Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s  Mass Contact programme which will be held here on April 23. All the applicants should follow the guidelines strictly, Ernakulam District Collector M G Rajamanickam said on Wednesday. The petitions for the mass contact programme for Ernakulam district can be submitted through Akshaya centres, taluk offices or the district collectorate till March 28.


For submission of petitions, people are requested to bring their Aadhaar card or any other identity card with photo. The petitions can be also submitted online through the official website of the Chief Minister. The UID number of the applicants, the Bank Account number linked with UID card and Mobile number should be clearly mentioned in the application. Those who do not have a mobile  phone should  mention the number of their friends or relatives. However, priority will be given to the applications submitted online before the deadline. The applications that are received after the deadline will be considered separately.

While  applying online, the applicants should file separate petitions for each of their grievance. The status of the complaints and further procedures will be communicated to the applicants via sms and e-mail. The District Collector will assess the recommendations  by the officials of each department concerned on each complaints. The applications  on subjects dealt by different departments will be recorded by using different codes. There will be separate counters for  applications filed directly. The registration is mandatory for filing the complaints as it is necessary to ensure further proceedings on the grievances. For bed ridden patients, their photograph along with doctor’s certificate should be uploaded along with the complaint.
