Appreciates them for completing 50 per cent of data collection process for Aadhaar seeding with voters’ list

Additional Electoral Officer Anoop Singh appreciated the district administration for completing 50 per cent of data collection process for Aadhaar seeding with voter’s list within a short span of time.

Addressing a review meeting here on Friday, Mr. Singh said the Election Commission of India (ECI) had selected Telangana as a pilot project to complete the Aadhaar seeding process. He suggested the district administration to create awareness about the importance of Aadhaar seeding through SMSes, pamphlets and other means.

Asking the officials to collect recent passport size photographs of voters, he said it would help the Election Commission to issue new plastic voter identity cards.

Mr. Singh called upon the officials to encourage all those who have turned 18 to enrol as voters.

He said prizes would be given to those who complete 90 per cent of the seeding process before the deadline.

He directed the District Collector, P. Satyanarayana Reddy, to involve all the political parties to expedite the process.
Mr. Singh opined that the seeding process would help them maintain accurate voter list by removing fake ones.

Mr. Satayanarayana informed the Electoral Officer that they have arranged for over 300 computers to complete the work before the deadline.
