A special camp to link Aadhaar number with electoral
photo identity card was held in Salem on Sunday.

It was held in 556 booths in Salem North and South Assembly Constituencies
The special camp held in 556 polling booths in Salem North and Salem South Assembly Constituencies to link Aadhaar number with electoral photo identity card (EPIC) to avoid duplication of voters and to carry out corrections in electoral rolls evoked good response here on Sunday.
Under the National Electoral Roll Purification and Authentication Programme (NERPAP), steps are taken to ensure error-free authentic electoral roll.
Hence, electors are asked to submit necessary forms for carrying out corrections, removal and modifications in the electoral roll.
Corporation Commissioner K.R. Selvaraj visited various polling booths in the city and enquired the officials about the works being carried out. Voters filled details such as Aadhaar number, mobile phone number and e-mail address in the applications forms and submitted it to the officials during the day-long camp.
