With the deadline for seeding Electoral ID card with Aadhaar number being May 10 for rural areas and May 15 in urban areas, counters are being opened in 20 e-Seva and Mee Seva centres in the city for speeding up the process, District Collector N Yuvaraj said.
The counters would be opened from Friday where the individuals can do the linking of the EPIC card with the Aadhaar card under the National Electoral Rolls Purification and Authentication Programme of the Election Commission.
Counters are opened at eSeva Centres in Gajuwaka area to help the voters of Gajuwaka Assembly segment to get their EPIC (voter card) linked to Aadhaar card.
The counters at eSeva Centres located in GVMC buildings near RK Hospital, China Gantyada; near Sub-Registrar’s Office, Chattivanipalem; behind Rytu Bazaar, Vadlapudi; and old municipal office premises at Peda Gantyada will function till May 15, Assistant Electoral Officer of Gajuwaka Assembly segment and Zonal Commissioner of Zone V of GVMC informed in a press release.
Voter has to submit a photo copy of his or her voter ID card and Aadhar card or their numbers at the counter for linking the both.
