8115 - UIDAI, Nasscom hold 48 hr Aadhaar hackathon - Financial Express

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in partnership with National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) 10,000 startups program supported by Angel Prime held one of the biggest ever Aadhaar hackathon in India, to encourage and promote applications based on the Aadhaar system.
Around 5000 developers and enthusiasts are participating in a 48-hour online hackathon that is being conducted at three offline venues which are the Nasscom startup warehouse and Microsoft Accelerator in Bangalore and the PayTM premises in New Delhi.
These participants aim at developing applications in areas like banking, healthcare and other public services, utilising the Aadhaar platform.
Nasscom 10,000 start-ups initiative is mandated by the government of India towards Aadhaar Diffusion Project to build on the start-up innovation ecosystem, engage with various stakeholders in developers community, government and other institutions to adopt the fast growing Aadhaar platform of single identification system.
