Hyderabad, Jun 15 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to scrap certificates such as nativity, residence and income certificates by keeping Aadhaar as a single source of information of citizens.
In a press release, the state government said it is also exploring a possibility of abolishing title deeds and pattadar pass books, taking details available on ‘Mee Bhoomi’ portal as authenticated information of a land owner.
In a review meet held today at the secretariat, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, after several deliberations with the department over the last three months, directed the department to finish digitisation of Field Measurement Book (FMB) records within nine months.”

This will eventually help in integrating land records data with satellite maps along with the details of extent of crop lands,” the release quoted him as saying.
On the issue of caste certificates, the Chief Minister asked the department to update pending ones and for new ones.”
In order to bring in accountability and transparency, and make Andhra Pradesh a model state in the country, the Chief Minister said that Electronic Total System (ETS) machines could be purchased to survey lands,” it said.
In an effort to make it a certificate-less governance, the government is mulling a pulse survey in August for preparation of socio-economic citizen data base, it added.
