8674 - Help desk opened at RTA office - The Hindu

VISAKHAPATNAM, September 9, 2015

A help desk was opened at the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) office at Madhavadhara VUDA Colony here Tuesday.
The forms required for various services provided by the RTA will be available at the help desk at a cost of Rs. 2 per form. The personnel manning the desk will provide information on various services, according to Deputy Transport Commissioner Venkateswara Rao.

Those having access to the Internet can look up for information about various services, the fee payable, and procedure for acquiring the same. Applicants coming to the RTA Office have to bring their Aadhaar cards, SSC (10{+t}{+h}class) certificate, voter card, PAN card, and other certificates in original as also photo copies of the same.

Mr. Venkateswara Rao said that notarised affidavits would not be accepted for ‘age proof’.

Similarly, bank account statement, Aadhaar card, gas card, and voter ID card would not be accepted for ‘residence proof’.
People coming for other enquiries like those regarding registration of their vehicles and despatch of licence should visit the RTA office between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
