The Election Commission has removed Aadhaar from its list of identity documents during the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has removed the 12-digit unique identification number (Aadhaar) from its list of identity documents during the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections. On 12 October 2015, the ECI published advertisements in newspapers in Bihar removing Aadhaar from among the 11 alternative documents besides voter ID cards for casting votes.
