Chandigarh: The department of food and supplies and consumer affairs and legal metrology has implemented the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme for foodgrains from September 2015.
The subsidy amount up to the month of January, 2016 has been released to the eligible households through their Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts, as per the entitlements.
Presently, a total of 42,004 households with 1,82,017 units (41,948 priority households and 56 AAY households) have been covered. Those eligible households who have any queries related to transfer of subsidy amount into their Aadhaar seeded bank accounts can either visit their respective banks.
