Many matrimonial sites have tied up with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to reduce fake and non-legit profiles on its platform.
The screenshot below was posted by a Reddit user with the caption, "Aadhar Verified Profiles on Shaadi.com! UIDAI must be so proud! (NP)"
This is it how it works.
The matrimonial company will cross-check the user’s details using Aadhaar against the “demographic units” of its stored data. A user’s date of birth, phone, and email ID cannot be fake since they’re taken from the Aadhaar card.
