NEW DELHI: A fake mail telling users about the changes in the Aadhaar card download password is doing rounds. The mail comes with a link asking people to click on it to know the updated format.

UIDAI made it clear that they are not sending these mails and users should not click on the link provided in these fake mails. They also said that user should first check as to where these mails are coming from.

Government should allow any citizen to sue the Aadhar management, not just UIDAI. Hire "white hat" hackers to probe for weaknesses in the processes and software, award monetary rewards to citizens who discover and report flaws of any kind. It is also worrisome that the board of UIDAI is majority private businessmen. There has rarely been a more idiotic and anti-national giveaway of national data in the nations history.

UIDAI indeed made changes in the downloading of pdf format of Aadhaar. Earlier a person just had to give his area pincode as password but now the user has to write first four letters of his name and date of birth. The information is available on UIDAI’s official website ( https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in).
