The Punjab State Cooperative Bank Ltd has decided to install 100 ATMs as a step to boost up its operations, besides taking up reformative measures like strengthening its online banking system in rural areas.
This was stated at a high-level meeting chaired by chief minister Parkash Singh Badal here with an agenda to strengthen the state's cooperative sector, a spokesman here said.
The said bank had also become a member of the Aadhaar Payment Bridge System (APBS), it was informed in the meeting.
Badal laid stress on reviving the loss-making cooperative societies in the state, mainly in key sectors like agriculture, dairy and finances.
