My wife and I had applied for Aadhaar card in September 2013. While my wife received the card, my application was ‘rejected’ without giving any reason.
Since then I have approached the respective enrolment centre more than a dozen times but they have not been of any help. IT is a common sight to see crowds gathered at the centre daily, some among them taking leave and permission from office, hoping to get some leads concerning the elusive Aadhaar card.
It is sad to see old people and women carrying babies standing under the sun and jostling for position to get the information about the Aadhaar card.
I am sure vast number of people all over the country will be facing the same problem.
It is hoped that the authorities will find a speedy solution to this knotty problem and save the people the ordeal.
It should occur to the Government that chasing the Aadhaar card results in loss of man-hours which in turn is a loss to the nation.
