Wage distribution to the tune of Rs. 1.58 crore to job card holders under the rural employment guarantee scheme has been stalled as a section of the workers have failed in seed their cards with the Aadhaar details by May 30, DWMA Project Director P. Prashanti has said.
As 14,037 job card holders out of the 3, 55,194 are yet to link their cards with Aadhaar, problems arose in the distribution of wages. The PD blamed the officials concerned for not creating awareness about importance of Aadhaar seeding among the workers, adding that the cards that were not so far seeded were likely to be deactivated. She asked the job card holders to contact their mandal offices immediately.
